More Red Book species found in Rossony region

Based on the Regulation on the Procedure for Transferring Habitats of Wild Animals and (or) Places of Growth of Wild Plants Belonging to Species Included in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus Under Protection to Land Plot and (or) Water Body Users, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated May 18, 2009 No. 638, the Rossonsky District Executive Committee has transferred twelve newly identified habitats of wild animals belonging to species included in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus under the protection of the state forestry institution "Rossonsky Leskhoz".

Protection obligations and passports for the habitat of a wild animal belonging to species included in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus for the osprey have been approved. The habitats are located within the territories of Yukhovichsky, Gorbachevsky, Rossonsky, and Lisnyansky forestries. The total area of the new habitats is 720.6 hectares. The red-listed species were identified by researchers from the State Scientific Production Association "Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources".
