A video contest on environmental themes is being held

The Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of Belarusian State University invites students and schoolchildren to participate in an environmental video contest.

Students of higher education institutions and schoolchildren from all regions of Belarus can take part in the environmental mini-video contest "A Minute Through the Eyes of a Geoecologist". To do this, you need to shoot a video up to one minute long by December 20 inclusive. In your work, for example, you can show landscapes, the nature of your birthplace, places of study, upbringing, and where your relatives and loved ones live. Works can be individual or collective.

The video should be sent to the email address (This email address is being protected from spam bots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), to the Telegram channel, or to the administrator of the VKontakte group. The cover letter should include the title of the video, the full names of the authors, the educational institution. For students, the year of study; for schoolchildren, the city, school number, and grade.

The jury will select the best works. The winner in the "Audience Choice Award" nomination will be chosen by online voting on social media. The authors of the best videos will receive diplomas and commemorative prizes.

The contest results will be announced on December 22 and published on the website and social media of the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics (FGiG). The award ceremony for the laureates and the screening of the videos are planned for March 2024 at a formal meeting of the student scientific club of the Department of Geographical Ecology, timed to coincide with the Geography Days. The organizer of the event is the Department of Geographical Ecology of FGiG BSU.
