Control over the detection of illegal dumpsites is strengthened

The issue of tidying up is always relevant, regardless of the season or circumstances. This is not a one-off action, but daily systematic work, a meticulous and labor-intensive process.

Starting from October 25, 2024, territorial bodies of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection across the country are conducting control and analytical measures to identify illegal dumps in forest areas, near garden communities, roads, reservoirs, and recreational areas.

During these measures, surveys of forest fund territories, along the rights-of-way of highways, as well as lands adjacent to dacha cooperatives, garden communities, reservoirs, and recreational areas are carried out.

The inspection reminds that for violation of environmental legislation regarding waste management, administrative liability is provided under Part 3 of Article 16.44 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.

3. Violation of other requirements of legislation on waste management –

entails a fine of up to thirty basic units, for an individual entrepreneur – up to one hundred basic units, and for a legal entity – up to one thousand basic units.
