The Rossony District Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Restoration reminds that there is nothing good or beneficial in feeding wild animals and birds.

Out of good intentions or for fun, people feed swans and ducks.
The swan is a migratory bird that leaves its native lands last, when it is no longer possible to endure the cold and it is difficult to find food. On its way to warmer countries, the swan will not freeze – this bird can fly more than 400 kilometers in one day.
The inspection reminds that due to daily feeding of swans, they lose their instinct to migrate to warmer regions. In comfortable climatic conditions and with constant supplementary feeding, there is no need for this.
Admire the swans, but do not feed them.
The bird itself knows how to feed itself.
