Competition for the best publication on environmental topics

The Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection invites you to participate in the republican competition for the best publication on environmental topics.

Individuals are invited to participate in the competition in the following categories: students, amateurs, and professionals.

The competition is held in the nomination "Our Common Home", which includes essays, articles, reports, reviews, sketches, notes, and comments on careful attitude towards nature, land improvement, settlement beautification, waste management, protection of water resources, atmospheric air, fauna and flora, implementation of new technologies in environmental protection, preservation of natural monuments, and other materials on environmental protection and rational use of natural resources.

The competition is held in two stages:

the first stage – the best works are determined at the regional level from May 15 to July 15;

the second stage – the best works are determined at the republican level from July 16 to August 5.

Works published in periodic printed publications from May 15, 2024, to May 14, 2025, are eligible for the competition.

Each work must have only one author, be submitted as a newspaper or magazine clipping, or as a handwritten or typed text, with the mandatory indication of the name of the periodic printed publication where the work was previously published, the issue number, and the date.

The competition entry must be accompanied by a participant information sheet indicating the nomination, category, author's surname, first name, patronymic, and age, postal address, and phone number.

Winners of the first (regional) stage are awarded cash prizes in each category:

for first place – 6 base units;

for second place – 4 base units;

for third place – 3 base units.

Winners of the second (republican) stage of the competition are awarded diplomas and cash prizes in each category.

Works should be sent to the committee's address: 210029, Vitebsk, Pravdy St., 26 A, with the note "Competition for the best publication" by June 1, 2025.
