April 28 is celebrated worldwide as the World Day for Safety and Health at Work

On this day, a series of events dedicated to labor protection issues are traditionally held worldwide, such as seminars, conferences, and round tables, where best practices for ensuring workers' rights and guarantees in the field of labor protection, the creation of conditions for decent work, and much more are discussed.

In the Republic of Belarus, labor safety issues are given unconditional priority. The worker's right to safe labor is one of the most important labor guarantees established by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, and the significance of this area of work cannot be overestimated. It helps the state not only to influence processes in the field of labor protection through available mechanisms and procedures but also to save the lives and health of thousands of workers. In addition, the development and adoption of labor protection laws allow for the establishment of mandatory requirements and guarantees for workers in various fields, and the determination of labor protection competence for all interested parties.

At the same time, the modern development of Belarusian society requires ever newer ideas and concepts. It is necessary not only to improve existing approaches but also to move from traditional responses to incidents that have already occurred to preventive measures against such episodes. In this regard, in recent years, Belarus's labor protection policy has been increasingly focused on introducing new forms and methods of preventive work, which allow for the identification and prevention of occupational injuries at the initial stages. One such promising method could be the introduction of artificial intelligence-based programs into the production process, which can better analyze work processes, timely signal possible negative consequences, more accurately calculate risks to people's lives and health, and also respond faster in emergency situations.
