Litter in the forest is a pressing issue!
To begin with, littering in the forest fund territory is an administrative offense. Therefore, responsibility for polluting the forest with waste is provided for in accordance with Part 1 of Article 16.22 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Code of Administrative Offenses). Waste includes any substances or objects generated during economic activities, human life activities, and which do not have a specific purpose at their place of origin or have lost their consumer properties in whole or in part.
Employees of the state forest protection of the Rossonsky forestry are taking all necessary measures to prevent pollution of forest lands. Monitoring of the territory for clutter and the formation of landfills is constantly carried out. Camera traps are installed in the most popular places of waste disposal: at the entrances to settlements, in recreation areas, at forest turnoffs.
We once again warn about the need to comply with environmental legislation. Waste thrown in unauthorized places pollutes the environment, and it is also one of the main causes of forest fires. Responsibility for cluttering the forest fund provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 10 base units on an individual, up to 25 base units on an individual entrepreneur, and up to 50 base units on a legal entity in accordance with Part 1 of Article 16.22 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Pollution of forest and other woody and shrub vegetation." If significant damage is caused to nature, the issue of criminal liability under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus "Pollution of forest, habitat of woody and shrub vegetation" may be raised.
Let's preserve our forests together!
