The removal and transplantation of plants are regulated by Article 37 of the Law of Belarus "On Plant Life." Therefore, if such actions are necessary, a set of documents must be prepared: project documentation approved in the prescribed manner, permission from the local executive and administrative body, a conclusion recognizing the tree as dangerous, an act confirming the location of plant growth of species whose distribution and numbers are subject to regulation, and a preliminary notification to the local executive and administrative body about the planned removal or transplantation of trees and shrubs.

There is also a situation where plant removal is possible without documents and permits: in case of liquidation of an emergency situation or its consequences, if it is impossible without removing plants. However, in this case, within five days after the removal, a notification must be sent to the local executive and administrative body containing information about the removed objects (species, location, and area of growth), as well as a description of the emergency situation, and the date and time of notification of its occurrence.
