A draft of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Belarus has been submitted for public discussion

The draft Environmental Code consolidates provisions, including those from the Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 20, 2007 No. 271-Z "On Waste Management".

Among the innovations is the exclusion of the obligation for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to maintain an environmental passport of an enterprise for accounting data on the use of natural resources, emissions and discharges of pollutants into the environment, waste management, as well as other types of harmful impact on the environment.
