We draw your attention to the pressing issue of dry vegetation burning. This phenomenon causes significant environmental damage annually and poses a serious ecological threat.

Some residents mistakenly believe that burning promotes better plant growth; however, in reality, it leads to destructive consequences. Burning not only destroys vegetation but also disrupts the ecosystem's balance, endangering the lives of many animals and microorganisms that play a crucial role in maintaining soil health.

Every year, the territory of our country is marked by the traces of this destructive practice, which negatively impacts the ecosystem. The destruction of vegetation leads to soil erosion, deterioration of air quality, and loss of biodiversity. Furthermore, smoke from burning vegetation can cause health problems for people, especially those suffering from respiratory diseases.

According to Article 16.40 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses, the illegal burning of dry vegetation, grasses, and agricultural residues is a serious offense that can result in significant fines. The fine amount ranges from ten to thirty base units, emphasizing the importance of adhering to environmental norms and regulations.

It is important for every citizen to be aware of their responsibility for nature conservation and to observe precautionary measures to prevent fires.

We urge all residents to demonstrate responsibility and care for nature by refraining from the practice of burning dry grass and bushes.
