Opening of the hare hunting season: rules and recommendations

From the first Saturday of November to the last Sunday of January, hunting for mountain hares and brown hares of any sex and age is open.

Hunting is permitted during daylight hours by stalking, from an ambush, or driving, using smoothbore firearms and cartridges loaded with shot, and hunting dogs of all breeds. The weaponless method involves using greyhounds and hunting birds.

Violations are subject to administrative liability, including fines with or without confiscation of hunting equipment and deprivation of special rights.
