On typical violations of environmental legislation identified during control activities

The control activities of the Rossonsky District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection are carried out in the form of selective inspections, as well as preventive and precautionary measures.

Over 12 months of 2022, the inspectorate conducted 3 selective inspections of business entities. As part of preventive measures, including those aimed at preventing offenses, 93 monitoring activities and 44 technical measures were carried out. Based on the materials from these measures, 140 recommendations and orders were issued to business entities to eliminate identified shortcomings and further improve nature management practices.

Based on the results of control activities for 12 months of 2022, 15 offenders of environmental legislation were brought to administrative responsibility. The total amount of fines imposed amounted to 6208 rubles. A preventive measure in the form of a warning was applied to 32 individuals and legal entities.

8 cases of environmental damage were identified. 8 claims for compensation for environmental damage were filed in the amount of 16,891.10 rubles.

The main part of the violations consists of violations in the field of waste management, protection and use of atmospheric air.

Typical violations in the field of waste management included unauthorized disposal of waste into the environment, lack of accounting for production waste, and non-compliance with the rules for operating waste disposal facilities.

In the field of protection and use of plant world objects, the most common violations were the failure to take measures to control the population of invasive plant species and the illegal removal of plant world objects, as well as the lack of accounting for plant world objects.

In the field of protection and use of atmospheric air and the ozone layer, violations of the rules for operating gas cleaning units were identified, as well as the absence or non-compliance with the requirements of environmental norms and rules EcoNiP 17.01.06-001-2017 "Environmental Protection and Nature Management. Environmental Safety Requirements", approved by the Resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated July 18, 2017 No. 5-T, and sampling points at sources of emissions of pollutants into the atmospheric air.
