Firecrackers and fireworks are completely banned from 2025: Vitebsk region police clarified the rules for celebrating the New Year

While New Year's used to be associated with numerous loud fireworks, the time has come to change traditional perceptions of the holiday.

Starting from 2025, not only powerful fireworks but also the simplest pyrotechnic devices like firecrackers will be banned.

This is due to safety, environmental concerns, and a commitment to the peace and quiet of people and animals.

– Fireworks, rockets, Roman candles, and firecrackers are completely banned for sale and use. Their ignition in public places is qualified as a breach of public order (petty hooliganism), – explained Anatoly Lisovsky, Deputy Head of the Public Order Protection and Prevention Department of the Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant Colonel.

On New Year's Eve, the public may only use safe products: sparklers, party poppers, and table fountains.
