The Government has approved the State Program "Ecology" for 2026-2030

The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Oleksandr TURCHYNOV.

The objectives of the state program are to improve the quality of environmental protection and ensure rational nature management.

The state program includes six subprograms. Among them:

Subprogram "Target 99", aimed at maximizing the involvement of municipal waste in economic circulation (at least 70 percent of municipal solid waste), as well as reducing the negative impact of waste on the environment.

Subprogram "Ecology of Regions", aimed at ensuring environmental safety, maintaining the discharge index of insufficiently treated wastewater into water bodies (compared to 2015) at the level of 30%, maintaining surface water bodies in proper condition and their improvement, and carrying out the plugging of decommissioned boreholes intended for groundwater extraction (90% of the number of such boreholes as of January 1 of the relevant year).

The funding volume of the State Program "Ecology" for 2026-2030 is 1.616 billion rubles.
