Safety First. Occupational Safety and Health Plan for 2026 Approved

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has approved the annual comprehensive plan of measures aimed at ensuring healthy and safe working conditions in all organizations of the country in 2026.

The document includes over 40 items covering legislative initiatives, supervision activities, training, and prevention.

Updating Occupational Safety and Health Regulations

Throughout the year, new occupational safety and health regulations will be developed and approved for various sectors:

in zoos, film shoots, construction, theaters, and concert halls;

during diving operations and operation of lifting equipment;

the list of jobs prohibited for minors will be updated.

It is also planned to improve the norms for issuing personal protective equipment to employees.

Strengthening Control and Inspections

Conducting selective and unscheduled inspections of compliance with labor legislation.

Organizing mobile team visits to organizations where accidents have occurred.

Implementing automated systems for monitoring working conditions and recording injuries.

Joint raids with investigators from the Investigative Committee to investigate serious incidents.

Prevention and Training

Regularly holding "Safety Months" and "Zero Injury Weeks."

Organizing seminars and conferences, including the XII Belarusian-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference on Occupational Safety and Health.

Mandatory testing of knowledge on occupational safety and health for managers and specialists.

Informing employers about typical violations in various industries.

Work with Youth and the Public

Participation in career guidance events, children's drawing contests "Safe Work of My Parents."

Conducting open lessons in educational institutions.

Active coverage of occupational safety and health issues in the media and online.

The plan also includes interaction with trade unions, analysis of the effectiveness of occupational safety and health management systems, and the implementation of measures within the framework of the State Program "Balanced Labor Market" for 2026–2030.

The main goal is to reduce occupational injuries, improve safety culture, and create conditions where every employee can work without risk to life and health.
