The brightest New Year's Northern Lights passed over Norway
The aurora was visible even in the mid-latitudes of the country, where it is usually weaker.
The reason is increased solar activity within the peak of the 25th solar cycle. Such "cosmic" conditions for the phenomenon in January 2026 are considered among the best in the last 11 years.
