On plans for land improvement activities

Annually, responsible services carry out systematic work on land improvement throughout the Vitebsk region. Comprehensive plans and programs for landscaping, improving the sanitary condition of settlements, and repairing and reconstructing courtyards, facades of residential and public buildings are being implemented. With the arrival of spring, parks, public gardens, and coastal areas are being landscaped. In addition to traditional territory cleaning, spring greening takes place.

The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has approved a plan for land improvement and settlement landscaping for 2026, which includes 90 tasks aimed at maintaining settlements, agricultural facilities, republican and local roads and railways, surface water bodies, specially protected natural areas in proper condition, regulating the spread and population of invasive plants, and more.

To enhance the greening of settlements, it is planned to plant over 28,000 trees, 22,000 shrubs, and 2.5 million flowers.
