We remind you about the prohibition of agricultural fires and burning dry vegetation

The Rossonsky District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection reminds that agricultural fires and the burning of dry vegetation in Belarus are prohibited. Statistics show that the absolute majority of fires due to burning dry grass are caused by human negligence, and only 5-10% of ecosystem fires occur due to meteorological conditions.

Combustion is accompanied by the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and oxygen is consumed. Fertilizers and pesticides residues burn in the fire, forming volatile toxic organic and inorganic compounds. When burning grass along roads, the air is polluted with heavy metals.

Fires deplete the species composition of meadow vegetation and wildlife.

Insects, frogs, lizards, and other animals die during fires. Burning dry grass causes the destruction of bird clutches and nesting sites.

We urge you to approach the problem of burning dry vegetation with understanding and a sense of duty!
