The government has established the amounts of expenditure and compensation for 2026

The volumes for which legal entities and individual entrepreneurs will be compensated for the costs of collecting and using waste of goods and packaging have been determined. The corresponding norms are enshrined in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 132.

The document regulates the procedure for spending funds received by the state institution "Operator of Secondary Material Resources" with a special operating regime. These funds are directed towards the implementation of state programs for waste management and the development of a separate waste collection system in the country.

The amounts of payments have been established for a list of items, including:

- paper and cardboard;

- cullet;

- polymers;

- worn-out tires;

- used oils;

- electrical and electronic equipment;

- batteries and mercury lamps.

The main objective is to stimulate the growth in the volume of waste collection and recycling and to reduce the environmental burden.
