Arriving at the water body's shore for recreation or fishing

When arriving at the shore of a body of water for recreation or fishing, many do not think about the rules for parking their vehicles, although in fact we are in water protection zones of water bodies, where special rules for parking mechanical vehicles apply.

❗️ Important: To prevent pollution, littering, and depletion of surface water bodies, and to preserve the habitat of fauna and flora on territories adjacent to water bodies, prohibitions and restrictions on economic and other activities are in force. ⚠️

➡️ Article 54 of the Water Code of the Republic of Belarus answers the main question of interest to everyone ❓❓: at what distance can one park from the shoreline of a water body.

➡️ Within the boundaries of coastal strips, prohibitions and restrictions specified in Article 53 of the Water Code of the Republic of Belarus apply, and also parking of mechanical vehicles within 30 meters horizontally from the shoreline is not allowed, unless otherwise established by the President of the Republic of Belarus. Also, within the boundaries of water protection zones and coastal strips, washing of vehicles and other mechanical means is prohibited. ?

‼️ Violation of the regime for carrying out economic and other activities in water protection zones or coastal strips in accordance with Part 2 of Article 16.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus entails a fine:

• for an individual – up to 10 base units
• for an individual entrepreneur – up to 25 base units
• for a legal entity – up to 50 base units
