Day of Ecological Knowledge

Did you know that today is Environmental Knowledge Day? Every year on April 15, Environmental Knowledge Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. Its history dates back to 1992, when at the UN Conference in Rio de Janeiro, where environmental issues were discussed, the immense importance of environmental education for the population of all countries in the world for the implementation of survival strategies and for the sustainable development of humanity was emphasized. The main goal of the holiday is to promote environmental knowledge and foster an environmental culture among the population, to inform the public about the state of environmental safety and the state of the environment, as well as to educate and train citizens capable of thinking ecologically. This holiday is celebrated in many countries around the world, including our Belarus. Its goal is simple, but very important: to remind us that nature is our common home, and we need to know how to properly "clean up" and manage it. Environmental education and enlightenment have received international recognition as crucial tools for solving nature conservation problems. Environmental protection is our common task. We urge everyone, not only today but always: - To improve your environmental literacy. - To use natural resources rationally. - To instill in children love and respect for their native nature. Let's preserve nature together!
