The government has approved amendments to the rules for handling industrial waste

Prime Minister Alexander Turchinov signed a resolution adjusting the current procedure for handling production waste. The document amends Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 818 of November 28, 2019. The new document has been developed taking into account law enforcement practice and provides a number of significant relaxations and clarifications for economic entities. Key innovations: Enterprises will be able to obtain permits for storage or disposal of waste if they have their own processing or neutralization capacities. The permit for storage and disposal can be revoked at the initiative of the applicant. The period for making amendments to an already issued permit has been extended from 30 to 60 days. Deadlines for administrative procedures have been clarified. The method of submitting documents when handing them over on paper has been specified. When registering commissioned waste utilization or neutralization facilities, it is no longer required to attach a copy of the technological regulations, provided that the applicant already has a license for activities affecting the environment.
