The Rossony District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection reminds

Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On the Plant World" prohibits the burning of dry vegetation (dry plants) and its residues in situ and the lighting of fires, the burning of plant residues in public areas of settlements, except for specially equipped places determined by decisions of local executive and administrative bodies. Violation entails administrative responsibility. Article 16.40 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus - illegal burning of dry vegetation, grasses in situ, as well as stubble and post-harvest residues in fields or failure to take measures to extinguish fires on land plots - entails a fine of ten to thirty basic units. Article 16.41 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus - lighting fires in prohibited places, except for violations of fire safety requirements for which responsibility is provided for by other articles of the Special Part of this Code, - entails a fine of up to twelve basic units.
