With the aim of attracting youth to participate in events for the improvement of monuments of military glory

To engage youth in the improvement of military glory monuments, mass burial sites, and settlement areas, foster a careful attitude towards nature, and promote environmental knowledge, the Republican Competition "Youth for Clean Cities and Villages" is held annually from May 1 to October 1. The Regulations on the Procedure for Conducting the Republican Competition "Youth for Clean Cities and Villages" were approved by the Resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Natural Resources) dated June 25, 2025, No. 33 "On Republican Competitions in the Field of Environmental Protection." The Republican Competition "Youth for Clean Cities and Villages" is held in three stages: The first stage is at the district (city) level from May 1 to September 15; The second stage is at the regional level from September 16 to September 23; The third stage is at the republican level from September 24 to October 1 and is held in the following nominations: Best volunteer detachment (camp) among students; Best volunteer detachment (camp) among university students; Best volunteer detachment (camp) among working youth; Innovative forms and methods of work in organizing environmental activities; Best landscape composition. Volunteer detachments (camps) carrying out activities to improve settlement areas and tidy up the land on a gratuitous basis participate in the Republican Competition "Youth for Clean Cities and Villages." Winners are determined: Based on the results of work (report on the work done by the volunteer detachment with photo materials, information on media coverage of the events held); According to the criteria (specified in the Regulations on the Procedure for Conducting the Republican Competition "Youth for Clean Cities and Villages"); By the highest total score awarded by members of the organizing committees on a ten-point scale (in case of equal scores, the vote of the chairperson of the organizing committee is decisive). Competition winners are awarded diplomas and cash prizes. Based on the results of the first stage of the competition, territorial committees and primary organizations of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" determine the winners in the competition nominations and send to the regional committees of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" data on the work of volunteer detachments that took first, second, and third place in the first stage of the competition. To award the winners of the second stage of the competition, one first, one second, and one third cash prize are established in each nomination in the amount of: For first place – up to 10 base units; For second place – up to 7 base units; For third place – up to 5 base units. The winners of the second stage of the competition are rewarded from local budgets allocated for measures for the rational (sustainable) use of natural resources and environmental protection within the framework of the environmental protection system in the field of information support, education, training, and enlightenment. To award the winners of the third stage of the competition, one first, one second, and one third cash prize are established in each competition nomination. The amount of the cash prize for the winners of the third stage of the competition is established annually by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The winners of the third stage of the competition are rewarded from the republican budget allocated for measures for the rational (sustainable) use of natural resources and environmental protection within the framework of the environmental protection system in the field of information support, education, training, and enlightenment, as well as from other sources not prohibited by law.
