Hunting for roe deer opens on May 15

Until September 30, hunting for adult roe deer males, as well as for selective animals of this species of any sex and age, is permitted in Belarus. The following may be used for hunting: rifled weapons (with a muzzle energy of the bullet exceeding 1500 J); smooth-bore weapons (with bullets or buckshot); hunting bows and crossbows. ? Hunting dogs are allowed for tracking and finishing wounded animals: pointers, spaniels, retrievers, terriers, dachshunds, as well as other breeds if they have a field diploma for blood tracking. Illegal procurement of roe deer entails a fine, restriction or deprivation of the right to hunt, restriction of liberty for up to 2 years, or deprivation of liberty for up to 3 years. Additionally, the offender is obliged to compensate for environmental damage - 120 basic units (5400 rubles) for each illegally obtained individual.
