An expensive pleasure. Why is it forbidden to break lilacs in cities and what is the cost?

☝️Breaking lilac branches, as well as any other shrubs or trees, is strictly prohibited in public places. The prohibition applies to plants that adorn city streets, grow in parks and squares, and are planted in the courtyards of multi-story residential buildings. These norms are strictly regulated by the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On the Plant World". ‼️According to Part 3 of Article 16.17 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Belarus, violators face significant fines. For individuals: a fine of up to 30 base units. For individual entrepreneurs: from 10 to 200 base units. For legal entities: from 20 to 300 base units. It is worth considering that paying the fine is not the only expense for the violator.
