IMPORTANT changes in legislation!!!!

From June 19, 2026, amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses will come into force in Belarus. Article 16.46 has been introduced, according to which land users (both owners and tenants) will be punished for "failure to carry out measures to regulate the spread and numbers of certain plant species." If invasive species are growing freely on your plot or adjacent territory, the fine can be up to 10 base units. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection identifies two of the most dangerous species, with which a real war is being waged: - Sosnowsky's hogweed It is dangerous to health: its sap causes severe burns. It deforms ecosystems and is extremely tenacious - seeds can lie dormant in the soil for years. - Canadian goldenrod It is often planted as a decorative flower, but in terms of aggressiveness, it surpasses even hogweed. Goldenrod completely displaces native plants, literally "killing" the soil and meadows.
