Residents of the northern region can now be fined for invasive plants on their property

On June 19, amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses come into force. Land users will be obliged to ensure that poisonous pests do not proliferate on their territory. ‼️First and foremost, this includes Sosnowsky's hogweed and Canadian goldenrod. These species are recognized as dangerous to human health and the country's ecology. In the Vitebsk region, work to combat Sosnowsky's hogweed continues. Settlements, forest fund, roadside strips – there are about 6000 locations in the region where this aggressive plant grows.
