On June 19, 2026, amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses will come into force, affecting land users.

Article 16.46 will be added to the document, which provides for liability for failure to carry out measures to regulate plant spread. This refers to cases where a land user ignores the need to control hazardous vegetation.

Who will be affected by the new rules?

All land users and owners of land plots.

A fine of up to 10 basic units may threaten those who do not combat unwanted vegetation on their plots. Currently, this amounts to up to 450 rubles. The amount of the penalty will depend on the specific situation and the degree of neglect of the plot.

What plants are considered hazardous?

The main focus is on combating invasive species.

In our region, these are Sosnowsky's hogweed and Canadian goldenrod, which are actively spreading and displacing local flora.
