Applications are open for the 17th Republican Innovation Project Competition 2026

In 2026, the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, with the participation of the Ministry of Education, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", and the Belarusian Innovation Fund, is holding the 17th Republican Competition of Innovative Projects.

Participation in the competition is an opportunity for project developers to present their ideas to the general public, receive expert evaluation, and win cash prizes.

The competition considers innovative projects at various stages of implementation with a commercialization strategy, corresponding to the priority areas of scientific, scientific-technical, and innovation activities.

This year, in addition to the usual nominations for "Best Innovative Project" (for legal entities and individuals) and "Best Youth Innovative Project" (for individuals under 35 years of age), the organizers have established 30 additional nominations. Among them are nominations for: "Best Innovative Project in Healthcare", "Best Innovative Project in Agriculture", "Best Innovative Project in Light Industry", "Best Innovative Project in State Military Security", "Best Innovative Project in Electrical Engineering and Instrument Engineering", and many others.

In order to prepare participants for the review and defense of innovative projects, seminars and training sessions will be held with the involvement of leading Belarusian specialists in innovation and venture activities, and business planning.

To participate in the competition, all interested parties must register on the competition's website by August 1, 2026, fill out the forms (application, passport and business plan of the innovative project or feasibility study, commercialization strategy) posted there, and submit a complete set of competition documents in printed form to the Belarusian Innovation Fund (220072, Minsk, Nezavisimosti Ave., 68-2, office 112).

Following the remote selection of applications (document verification for formal compliance, expert review), the authors of the 40 best developments will participate in the final stage of the competition – defending their projects before the competition council.

Based on the results of the competition, winners will be awarded diplomas, certificates, and valuable prizes.
