New Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Maksim Lysenko named waste disposal as one of the department's main problems

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection stated the need to strengthen control over separate waste collection and its subsequent processing.

The head of the department emphasized that situations where the contents of special containers are dumped into a single garbage truck will be subject to strict control by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Maxim Lysenko outlined the main task in the field of ecology as follows:

"Waste management is one of the most pressing issues. We see how much packaging today often goes to landfill, when it should be sent for recycling."
