Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs planning to import ozone-depleting substances (ODS) must prepare documents for obtaining quotas in advance.

• Submission deadlines: from September 1 to November 1, 2026.

• What needs to be done:

Submit a request to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, prepared in accordance with paragraph 5 of the Regulation on the Procedure for Distribution of Quantitative Restrictions on the Import of Ozone-Depleting Substances, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of March 7, 2023 No. 170 "On Measures to Ensure the Protection of the Ozone Layer and Climate".

Important reminder:

Legal entities that have received quotas for the import of ODS in 2026 are obliged to promptly inform the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus about the impossibility of their use.

The Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection draws attention to the fact that compliance with the established deadlines is a guarantee of successful quota acquisition for 2027.
