Forest beads as a source of vitamins: why you shouldn't rush to pick lingonberries?
You've probably already noticed these neat bushes with clusters of greenish-pink berries.
This is future lingonberry, which is just beginning to develop now.
Tip: don't pick it now.
Unripe lingonberries will not ripen at home in a box like blueberries. They will remain tough, bitter, and without vitamins.
The real treat — juicy, sweet-sour, and bright red lingonberries — will be ready by the end of August.
In the meantime, just enjoy the fresh coniferous air and let the forest live at its summer pace.
