New Geonip are in effect from April 1

By the Resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources dated December 19, 2022, No. 29-T, the norms and rules for the rational use and protection of subsoil GeoNiP 17.08.03-008-2022 "Environmental Protection and Nature Management. Subsoil. Procedure for filling out passports, catalogs, registration cards of mineral deposits (their parts) and occurrences, geothermal subsoil resources, individual water intake facilities, individual boreholes intended for hydrocarbon production, as well as underground spaces that are used or can be used for purposes not related to mineral production, and their accounting" have been approved.

The document establishes uniform requirements for the procedure of filling out forms of passports (catalogs, registration cards) for mineral deposits (their parts) and occurrences, geothermal subsoil resources, individual water intake facilities, individual boreholes, and underground spaces.

Please note that GeoNiP do not apply to boreholes intended for the production of groundwater during the construction of oil, natural gas, and associated petroleum gas wells, and parametric wells intended for predicting the possibility of discovering mineral resources within insufficiently studied subsoil areas.

Resolution No. 29-T comes into force on April 1, 2023.
