WORLD KIDNEY DAY

World Kidney Day — 2026

World Kidney Day in 2026 is celebrated on March 12 (annually on the second Thursday of March). This is an international campaign aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of kidney health, their role in the body, prevention, early diagnosis of diseases, as well as a healthy lifestyle.

This year, World Kidney Day is held under the slogan: "Kidney Health for All: Focusing on Prevention and Treatment for All."

Chronic kidney disease (hereinafter referred to as CKD) is a global threat to public health.

On this day, medical and educational events, consultations with nephrologists, and diagnostic examinations are held in the polyclinics of our country.

Kidney disease prevention:

  1. Active lifestyle, physical exercise.
  2. Healthy diet.
  3. Quitting smoking and alcohol.
  4. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and general health check-ups for early detection of kidney diseases and their effective treatment. For example: annual urine tests, monitoring creatinine and blood sugar levels.

Your kidneys work around the clock — give them a chance to stay healthy for as long as possible!

Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
