World Health Day - April 7
World Health Day is celebrated annually on April 7th. It is an important holiday for everyone who cares about their well-being, a healthy body and a strong spirit, as well as strives to protect the environment, which directly affects the strengthening of public health.
With the growth of societal prosperity, the main health risks are shifting towards behavioral factors: smoking, alcohol consumption, sedentary lifestyle, high cholesterol levels. High blood pressure, excess weight, and high blood glucose levels lead to an increase in non-communicable diseases. Cancer, respiratory, cardiovascular diseases, as well as diabetes mellitus are becoming some of the leading causes of death worldwide. Unfortunately, we ourselves become the culprits of this. The prevention of non-communicable diseases largely depends on individuals themselves. This includes not only a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, proper nutrition, but also timely seeking of help, regular medical examinations, and adherence to doctors' recommendations.
The foundations of strong health and active longevity are a healthy lifestyle, vaccination, medical examinations, and regular preventive check-ups. A person must also take an active life stance – adhere to a rational daily routine, eat a balanced diet, maintain optimal physical activity, regularly perform hardening procedures, get rid of bad habits, avoid stressful situations, and observe personal hygiene rules.
Our health is invaluable. On this day, it is worth remembering that health is not only the absence of disease, but also the state of our soul. Therefore, we wish you to find harmony between body and spirit, and to achieve mutual understanding with yourself and others.
