Preventive campaign «With care for the safety of our small homeland»

Pensioners are one of the most important population groups that are under the close attention of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

To involve them in safety issues, rescuers use various forms of work, trying to reach every elderly person and engage them in the large-scale republican campaign "With Care for the Safety of the Small Motherland". The **goal** of the campaign is to prevent fires due to careless handling of fire and the death of elderly people in them. The campaign will be held in two stages: the first - from **August 1** to **August 18**, and the second - from **September 18** to **October 2**. Within these stages, a lot of useful and interesting things are planned. And, of course, meetings with rural residents, where rescuers will once again remind them of safety rules and focus on the causes of emergencies.

The safety of movement will also be broadcast by special Ministry of Emergency Situations transport, which will travel through rural settlements to broadcast short preventive texts to the population through a loudspeaker. In addition, rescuers will work along the routes of trade vans through the **"Safety Van"** project, where interactive platforms will be set up at the stops of mobile shops, and master classes on first aid will be held. Thus, residents of even the most remote corners will not be left out and will be able to participate in events organized by rescuers.

In rural settlements, thematic **"Safety Fairs"** will be held on open grounds, where rescuers have prepared many "activation zones": "Pump it out - don't fail", "Fire shield", "Household violations", "How a fire extinguisher works", "Bugs and spiders", "Stoves and benches", "Safe electrician" and many others.

If it seems that traditional mail is a relic of the past, then this is a big mistake. Our grandmothers and grandfathers continue to actively use this type of service and experience the same emotions as before - pleasant excitement and slight anxiety after receiving cherished mail. That is why propaganda workers **organize the distribution** of safe correspondence from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Chastushki are the most beloved and quoted form of folk art. Even a quatrain can easily capture the "essence" of a given theme. Rescuers are contributing their part and will hold the traditional contest for pensioners, "Safety Chastushki".

This is just a small list of the events that rescuers will hold with elderly citizens as part of the "With Care for the Safety of the Small Homeland" campaign.

The campaign will conclude on October 2 with large-scale events to be held throughout the republic as part of the International Day of Older Persons.
