Copy An information and propaganda campaign of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "Holidays without smoke and fire!" is launching in the Vitebsk region.

From June 3 to August 16, thematic events will be held in all districts of the Vitebsk region under the auspices of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' republican information and propaganda campaign "Holidays without Smoke and Fire!". Traditionally, the campaign begins with the start of summer holidays, and its main goals are to prevent child deaths and injuries, as well as fires caused by children's carelessness with fire.

It is no secret that during the summer holidays, children have a lot of free time, and they do not always know how to fill it. Parents, being at work, can only control them remotely. How can you organize your child's leisure time to be calm about their safety?! Rescuers will help answer this question, as they will conduct educational events throughout the summer months using various, maximally modern and engaging forms of work. After all, knowing what dangerous situations can arise makes it easier to avoid them. Rescuers will tell children about the dangers of uncontrolled games in the water, the dangers of sand quarries, and carelessness with fire. Parents will be reminded again about the dangers of leaving young children unattended.

Traditionally, young rescuers, representatives of the Belarusian Voluntary Fire Society, the Belarusian Voluntary Society for the Rescue of Persons on Water (OSVOD), departments and institutions for education, culture, and others will come to the aid of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees in ensuring safe children's recreation.

Such events are necessary not only to teach children safety rules but also to maximally involve parents in this work. After all, only the joint efforts of rescuers, educators, and parents will help children spend their holidays safely and fill their summer days with bright events in which there will be no room for emergencies.
