Don't burn your life away!
As part of the "Don't Burn Your Life Out!" campaign, Rossony rescuers are conducting preventive measures in citizens' households and commercial facilities.
Under the close attention of the district emergency situations department employees are categorized citizens – lonely and living alone. The main goal of the campaign is to prevent fires and deaths from them due to careless handling of fire while smoking. Therefore, households of citizens leading an antisocial lifestyle are under special control of rescuers. Preventive measures are carried out both as part of inspection commissions and on an individual basis. Work is being carried out in all rural councils of the Rossony district, as well as in the district center.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are carefully studying the condition of stove heating and electrical wiring, the correctness of their operation, the availability and operability of autonomous fire alarms, and are conducting explanatory work, telling citizens about the tragic events that can result from neglecting elementary safety rules and such a harmful habit as smoking.
Another form of rescuers' work was the organization of safety posts in commercial facilities. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees told shop visitors about the number of fires that occurred in the republic, region, and district, pointing out in conversation that the main cause of their occurrence was an unextinguished cigarette, and 90 percent of the victims of these fires were intoxicated. Rescuers strongly recommended all interlocutors to install autonomous fire alarms in their homes and apartments, and also offered to make a simulated call to fire departments based on situations depicted on the "life cube." All participants of the events were given thematic visual aids.
