From December 16, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' campaign 'Safe New Year!' will be launched in the republic.

New Year is a holiday that is eagerly awaited by both adults and children. Fun, joyful laughter – these are the emotions usually associated with celebrating the New Year. But even during festive merriment, one should not forget about safety.

To ensure that the Christmas and New Year holidays are not overshadowed by fires and emergencies, rescuers will traditionally conduct the republican information and propaganda campaign "Safe New Year!" from December 16 to December 30. The campaign will be held in two stages.

During the 1st stage, from December 16 to December 20, the target audience will be schoolchildren, so events will be held in general education institutions. Rescuers will conduct interactive training sessions with children on preventing emergencies due to careless handling of pyrotechnic devices, using the training games "Steps to Safety" and "5 Differences". They will explain safety rules during the winter holidays, invite them to participate in thematic contests, the "Safety Fireworks" quiz, non-losing lotteries, and organize New Year's flash mobs, and much more. All children will definitely receive visual aids and memorable gifts.

The 2nd stage of the campaign will take place from December 23 to December 30. The main events will unfold in places of mass gathering of people – these are trade facilities and open areas.

Rescuers, along with their loyal fairy-tale helpers, will congratulate everyone on the upcoming holidays, remind them of safety rules, conduct thematic quizzes, contests, and lotteries, distribute visual aids, and award prizes. The Firefighter Ded Moroz and Snegurochka will hold preventive talks with citizens, distribute instructions, and explain the rules for the safe use of pyrotechnics.
