All attention to child safety!
In anticipation of the summer holidays, Rossony rescuers participated in parent-teacher meetings as part of the republican preventive campaign "Safe Holidays."
During meetings with parents of schoolchildren and preschoolers, rescuers explained that one of the main objectives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations campaign is to prevent fires caused by children's mischief with fire, as well as to prevent child deaths and injuries. The primary goal is to reduce the number of emergencies involving children.
To draw parents' attention to the problem of deaths and injuries of preschool and primary school-aged children in fires and at water bodies, Ministry of Emergency Situations employees presented the new Ministry of Emergency Situations information campaign "Children are not adults! Do not leave them alone!". Rescuers noted that parents pay little attention to teaching children basic safety rules, and sometimes set a bad example of unsafe behavior themselves. The campaign urges adults to change their attitude towards child safety.
All discussions with parents and legal guardians were accompanied by questions about the importance of installing and correctly operating autonomous fire alarms. Speaking about the large-scale information campaign on the effectiveness of using fire alarms, Ministry of Emergency Situations employees highlighted the fact that this device saves dozens of lives annually in the country, including children.
Also, during parent-teacher meetings, rescuers organized screenings of the new Ministry of Emergency Situations film "Beautiful Far Away," which reflects real stories of child deaths and injuries, as well as cases where children get lost due to insufficient adult supervision.
