Firefighters rescued a father and son in a fire in Rossony
On June 17, at 4:30 AM, Rossony rescuers received a report of a residential house fire in the urban settlement of Rossony.
EMERCOM units were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, open burning of the veranda of a private residential house was observed, and the fire was beginning to spread to the roof of the structure.
– Neighbors were standing near the house on the street and told us that two people might be inside. They roughly described the layout of the rooms inside the house, – said rescuer Sergey Martynov. – It was impossible to enter through the veranda, the door was locked. Then I decided to enter through a window. Together with my colleague Sergey Klimenko, we climbed inside; the room was full of smoke. In the first room, on the bed, we immediately saw a sleeping man, who later turned out to be the owner of the house, a pensioner born in 1953. We took him outside and returned to search for the second person. In the next room, on the bed, also sleeping, we saw the owner's son, born in 1992, and also took him to fresh air.
The rescued individuals were examined by medics and did not require hospitalization.
As a result of the fire, the veranda and property in the house were damaged, and the walls were smoke-stained. Two versions of the cause of the fire are being considered, one of which is careless handling of fire while smoking.
EMERCOM informs:
