A shed fire occurred in the village of Selniki, Krasnopolsky Village Council.
On February 18, at 04:15, the operational control center of the Rossony District Department for Emergency Situations received a report of a barn fire on Zhuravinnaya Street in the village of Selniki, Krasnopolsky Rural Council.
Upon arrival of the first emergency response units at the scene, open burning of the barn was observed, posing a threat of fire spread to the residential house.
The owner, born in 1981, was on a business trip at the time of the fire. The fire was discovered by his wife, born in 1989, who reported the incident to the rescuers. There were no casualties.
As a result of the fire, the barn and its contents were completely destroyed.
The cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the cause of the fire is violation of the rules for the operation of electrical networks and electrical equipment (short circuit in the junction box).
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds of the basic requirements of fire safety rules for the operation of electrical networks and electrical equipment:
- before operating electrical appliances, carefully study the operating instructions and strictly follow them;
- use only serviceable electrical appliances;
- do not overload electrical networks and overheat electrical appliances;
- after using an electrical appliance, disconnect it from the power supply. Do not leave charging mobile phones and other gadgets and devices plugged in unattended;
- install heating appliances on non-combustible bases or stands;
- install protective devices of factory production only;
- exclude the use of sockets, switches, and junction boxes with damaged casings.
