The homeowner and his guest died in a fire in the agro-town of Krasnopolye
The operational control center of the Rossony District Department for Emergency Situations received a call on February 26 at 2:52 AM. The caller reported that a residential building was on fire in the agro-town of Krasnopolye, on Slobodskaya Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers found a one-story wooden house engulfed in flames. The roof of the house had already collapsed.
The burnt-down house belonged to an unemployed citizen born in 1971. Ministry of Emergency Situations workers discovered his body in the living room under a layer of collapsed structures. The body of a man born in 1984, who was visiting him, was also found there.
The fire destroyed the roof, ceiling, and property inside the house, and damaged the walls.
One of the considered versions is that the fire was caused by carelessness while smoking by one of the deceased.
