A fire broke out in an apartment in the Rossony district

On January 22, at 04:50, the Rossonsky Department for Emergency Situations received a report of smoke in an apartment on Tsentralnaya Street in the village of Yankovichi.

Upon arrival of rescuers at the scene, smoke was observed coming from an apartment located on the first floor of an apartment building.

The owner, who lives alone, was not in the apartment at the time of the fire. There were no casualties.

As a result of the fire, property was damaged.

The cause of the fire is being determined.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds you:

- Install smoke detectors in all rooms;

- Do not smoke in apartments (houses), especially in bed, particularly when intoxicated;

- Do not throw even extinguished cigarettes into trash cans, garbage chutes, from balconies or loggias;

- Store matches, lighters, and cigarettes out of reach of children.

Prevent children's mischief with fire:

- Do not entrust children with monitoring electrical appliances, stoves, or gas stoves;

- Hide matches, lighters, household chemicals, etc. from children;

- Do not leave young children unattended!

- Monitor how children spend their free time, what they are interested in, and distract them from idle pastimes.
