RSON rescuers participated in a thanksgiving prayer service dedicated to the feast of the Epiphany and Rescuer's Day.

A prayer service for the health of the personnel was held in the Church of the Ascension of the Lord by the rector of the Church, Archpriest Alexander. Addressing the attendees, the clergyman emphasized that the noble work of a rescuer, fraught with risk, requires not only professionalism but also great spiritual strength.

– Often in your difficult service, it happens that a person saves another person at the expense of their own life, – Father Alexander noted in his speech. – This was yesterday, it is today, it will be tomorrow. Therefore, I want to wish you God's blessing on your noble work and spiritual courage, without which it is impossible to imagine a true rescuer.

Archpriest Alexander stressed that Rescuer's Day falls on one of the most important Orthodox holidays – the Epiphany of the Lord, which imbues the service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations workers with special meaning and responsibility. The clergyman expressed hope that holding such events will become a good annual tradition.
