The owner of the house died in a fire in the village of Velikoye Boloto, Klyastitskoye rural council
The operational control center of the Rossony District Department for Emergency Situations received a call on February 17 at 21:26. The caller reported that a residential building was on fire in the village of Velikoye Boloto on Malinovskaya Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers found a one-story wooden building engulfed in flames.
The burnt-down house belonged to an unemployed citizen born in 1967. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees discovered his body in the living room under a layer of collapsed structures.
The fire destroyed the roof, ceiling, and property inside the house, and damaged the walls.
According to one of the considered versions, the fire was caused by carelessness while smoking by the owner of the house.
In low temperature conditions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges to be more vigilant to avoid tragic consequences:
- do not overheat the stove;
- install smoke detectors;
- take care of the safety of children and elderly relatives;
- do not smoke in rooms, especially while lying in bed;
- in case of fire, call 101 or 112.
