A fisherman drowned on a lake in Rossons

On March 22, 2026, at a distance of 100 meters from the shore, ROChS employees discovered a human body in an ice hole, but it could not be retrieved.

Divers from the "Vityaz" detachment of the Vitebsk UMChS and OSVOD employees came to the rescue. They retrieved the drowned person from a depth of 1.5 - 2 meters and handed him over to ambulance medical personnel.

Medics confirmed death.

The drowned person was not wearing a life jacket.

The deceased was 55 years old.

According to his wife, her husband went fishing on the morning of March 21 and never returned. On March 22, she filed a missing person report with the ROVD.
