On conducting monitoring Krasnopolskaya Secondary School

In June 2023, employees of the Rosson District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a monitoring of the fire safety status of the Educational Institution "Krasnopolskaya Secondary School named after S.I. Zhukov of the Rosson District" (Head - Sidorenko Zhanna Ivanovna).

Following the monitoring, violations of fire safety requirements were identified that do not pose a threat to national security, harm to the life and health of the population, or the environment, namely:

the operability and serviceability of fire protection means are not ensured (the warranty period for the storage of personal respiratory and eye protection equipment (self-rescuers) available at the facility has expired);

a 10% reserve of fire detectors is not provided at the facility;

the exit from the stairwell to the attic is not through a type 2 fire-resistant hatch;

fire detectors are installed in rooms without considering the type of fire load, the purpose of the room, the dominant fire factor in the initial stage, and the room height (heat detectors are installed in classrooms);

there are no alarm devices in all rooms where people are permanently or temporarily present (except for technical rooms, soap rooms, storage rooms, and sanitary units with an area of less than 8m2).

During the monitoring, compliance by the licensee LLC "Belarm" with the requirements of the legislation in the field of fire safety maintenance, specifically regarding the technical maintenance of fire automation systems (hereinafter referred to as FAS) at facilities, was studied. The operability of FAS in standby mode and in fire (malfunction) mode on the main and backup power sources was also checked. The study found that the FAS are in a faulty and inoperable condition.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety," the heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and the fire safety regime in their respective organizations.
