    We draw the attention of business entities whose annual accounting and (or) financial statements are subject to mandatory annual audit!

    As of February 20, 2021, the Resolution of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus dated January 14, 2021, No. 6 "On Amendments to Resolutions of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus" came into force, which introduced amendments to the Resolution of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus dated October 18, 2019, No. 58 "On the Database of Organizations Whose Annual Financial Statements Are Subject to Mandatory Audit" (hereinafter referred to as Resolution No. 58).

    According to Resolution No. 58, information on the fact of conducting a mandatory audit of financial statements is provided to the Ministry of Finance by filling out a questionnaire by organizations specified in paragraph 3 of Article 22 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated July 12, 2013, No. 56-Z "On Auditing Activities". The questionnaire is posted on the official website of the Ministry of Finance www.minfin.gov.by on the global computer network Internet in the "Auditing Activities" section.

    The deadline for submitting the above information is within one month from the date of receiving the audit report in case of a mandatory audit of financial statements, but no later than July 15 of the year following the reporting period.

    For evasion of mandatory audit of annual accounting and (or) financial statements, administrative liability is provided under Article 12.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus dated January 6, 2021, No. 91-Z, in the form of a fine of up to 30 base units.
